Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM) is a development Organization, engaged in building a new civil society in India through its grassroots to policy level action in Health, Education and Community Development sectors. SVYM has its headquarters in Mysuru district of Karnataka State in Southern India. Acting as a key promoter-facilitator in the community’s efforts towards self-reliance and empowerment, SVYM is developing local, innovative and cost-effective solutions to sustain community-driven progress. SVYM believes that building human and social capital will result in economic consequences and all of SVYM’s programs are driven by this development paradigm.  SVYM is also rooted to its values of Satya, Ahimsa, Seva and Tyaga, which is reflected in its program design and delivery, transactions with its stakeholders, resource utilization, disclosures and openness to public scrutiny.  Buying in support from the community, working in healthy partnership with the government and corporate sectors and sharing its experiences with like-minded Organizations have been the hallmark of SVYM’s evolution over the past 32 years.

 

Vivekananda Institute for Leadership Development (V-LEAD)
V-LEAD
is an initiative of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement was established in 2002. V-LEAD has the vision of “Developing human and social capital for a resurgent India" by constantly enhancing the potential of individuals and institutions for the development sector. V-LEAD has been offering training to Youth, NGO’s, Government and Corporate sector, customizing various programs to suit specific needs on issues of management, community development and leadership. With a team comprising of people drawn from various walks of life and having the commitment to serve the society, V-LEAD is able to run its programs effectively and efficiently.

V-LEAD’s unique Post Graduate program “Master in Development Management” which is recognized by University of Mysore addresses the need for trained management professionals for the Development Sector. Thus, V-LEAD is striving to acquire and disseminate “Knowledge to Serve” with its innovative, interventional and pragmatic models for development.
